Tonight, with the aid of some science, we are going to travel back in time. We have an appointment to meet one of the greatest Presidents in U.S. history, Mr. Abraham Lincoln. Please remain seated, we do not wish to lose anyone to time. Ready? Here we go...
We are now passing...
We arrive at the White House as President Lincoln and his wife depart for what they think will be a quiet evening of entertainment.
Mr. Burrow will touch briefly on Lincoln’s early life and poor upbringing. He will then discuss slavery and the story of how Lincoln’s mind changed over time; explain the President’s views on the American Civil War; and finish with the President’s goal for the future, hoping to bring the country back together.
Mr. Burrow's April 14, 1865, performance educates and entertains,
as audiences experience history face to face.
